Cookie Policy

This page explains what we store on your device when you visit metricgolf.club, why, and how to change your mind. It covers cookies and anything that works like one, such as browser storage.

Your choice

Nothing other than the strictly necessary cookies below is set until you agree to it. When you first arrive you can accept everything, reject everything, or choose by category — all in one click, with no option buried deeper than another.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, and it is no harder than giving it: open your cookie preferences. The same control sits in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent also deletes the analytics cookies already on your device.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as a refusal and don't ask.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and are exempt from the consent requirement, so they cannot be switched off. They don't track you across other sites.

• _pos_session — keeps your session alive while you move between pages and submit forms. Expires when you close your browser. Set by our hosting platform, Siteglide / platformOS.
• metric_consent — remembers the cookie choice you made here, so we don't ask again on every page. Stores what you agreed to, when, and which version of this policy it applied to. Expires after 6 months, after which we ask again.
• hCaptcha — set only on pages with a form, to tell real applicants from bots. Set by Intuition Machines, Inc.

Analytics — only with your consent

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are useful and how people find us. It is measurement, not identification: we don't use it to work out who you are, and we don't use it for advertising.

• _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_8WDSGH69KP — keeps track of a single visit. Expires after 2 years.

Set by Google Ireland Limited. Analytics data may be processed outside the UK and EEA; Google relies on the UK Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to do so. Google's own description is in Google's privacy and terms.

Marketing — only with your consent

We don't currently run any advertising or marketing tags. The category appears in your preferences so that it stays switched off by default if we ever add one, rather than appearing silently later.

How we honour your choice technically

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Every non-essential storage permission is set to denied before any tag loads, and is only raised to granted if you agree. Refusing means the tags either don't run or run without storing anything on your device.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the site working, such as submitting a job application.

You have the right to access, correct or erase the personal data we hold, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email [email protected].
